#SixSentenceSunday - "Fall From Grace"

Happy Mother's Day!

This is the first of hopefully many six sentence Sundays.

Following are (you guessed it) six sentences from my NaNoWriMo 2011 project that is so far titled "Fall From Grace".

~

The knife was slick with his blood and sailed back into him gracefully. Three times, four. He wondered how his parents would feel, knowing that he had survived a bullet in the line of duty just to end up beaten down and stabbed to death by a gang of hoodlums.

At least his mother's major worry would never materialize, he thought, wryly, as a foot sailed towards his face. He wouldn't be sent home under a flag.

Then he saw the guy holding the baseball bat over his head.

  1. Wow, what a powerful six here. Love how oddly calm he seems here, and yet, it's so heart touching. :(

    1. Hey Ada, thanks for stopping by!

If I told you that, it would eliminate the element of surprise. For all of us ;)
